With a repertoire that blends Irish and Scottish Celtic songs, contemporary folk, and compelling originals, The Stirling Latelys are a Milwaukee-based group with decades of combined performing experience. Consisting of Alli Johnson (vocals, guitar), Amanda Carlson (ukulele, vocals), and Chad Johnson (guitar, mandolin, vocals), the quartet has a penchant for exquisite vocal harmonies, dynamic, colorful arrangements, vivid storytelling, and shooting large wads of cash into the audience at their shows with a potato gun (source needed). Alli is the lead singer and founding member of festival-favorite The Selkie Girls, having performed in nearly a dozen states with several TV appearances. She also directs the Milwaukee Irish Fest Choir and has taught voice, guitar, piano, and ukulele privately for years. Chad has authored over 95 music instructional books for Hal Leonard Corporation and shared the stage with members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers Band, Jamey Johnson, and others. Amanda Carlson received a BA in vocal music from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD, has performed in various choirs and worship bands since the age of 13, and sang with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus for several years as well. Together, they create an innovative sound that possesses the charm of traditional music while forging their own unique path, folding in captivating original songs that blend seamlessly.
